Physician Heal Thyself – Part 5: Setting the Captive Free

Physician Heal Thyself – Part 5: Setting the Captive Free

I spend 50 days with the Lord yearly, counting from Passover and the resurrection season to Pentecost. This was not a required feast that Moses wrote in Deuteronomy 16:10, “Thou shalt keep the feast of weeks unto the Lord thy God with a tribute of a freewill offering of thine hand, which thou shalt give unto the Lord thy God, according as the Lord thy God hath blessed thee.” The 'Feast of Weeks' is also known as 'Shavuot' in Hebrew. It is a significant Jewish holiday commemorating the Torah's giving at Mount Sinai. This feast time with the Lord comes with a “freewill offering.” It is not a commandment but an opportunity to spend intimate time with the Lord.

During this sacred time, the Lord revealed a profound theme: 'freeing the captives.' He spoke to me personally, emphasizing that my body, like yours, is the temple of the Holy Spirit. This is not just a general truth, but a deeply personal revelation, inviting us to a more intimate understanding of our spiritual journey.

When a doctor examines you in the hospital or during an office visit, they primarily focus on your body. After several follow-up visits, when you tell the doctor, “That's not working,” they begin to explore your psychological issues. What is truly happening? Why has this become a chronic situation, and how can we address it? They may then involve social workers and psychologists to assist with your emotional well-being, encouraging you to express and release some of those emotions- worry, grief, fear, anxiety, and stress. All these negative emotions are often stored in the body without people realizing it. From our Christian perspective, when we say we are putting on the mind of Christ and renewing our minds to be transformed by the Holy Spirit, we acknowledge that it is His Spirit.

So, what does the fullness of this cleansed body look like, and how can we remove some of the current blockages? What we are discussing are emotional blockages. Where are they stored? Did you know that most of your emotional blockages are stored from the neck to the hip, specifically in the pelvis? That is where your heart, lungs, kidneys, pancreas, stomach, liver, small intestines, and large intestines are located. These vital organs help keep the body functioning at an optimal level, assisting in the movement of your legs and arms. But if they are not functioning correctly, you might be carrying too much emotional heavy weight due to excessive anxiety or stress. How do we address those issues?

The vertebra in our spine consists of 30 bones. With that number in mind, let us consider that Jesus began His ministry at thirty. Even though Jesus is God's Beloved Son, He had to grow in wisdom and grace (Luke 2:40). Jesus’s ministry began by manifesting His maturity, not His birth, as the Son of God, reconciling all of humanity back to the Father as the bride of Christ, united in the Oneness of Spirit. “For we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones” (Ephesians 5:30).

Each bone or vertebra must absorb the mind of Christ one at a time before progressing to the next vertebra. The first seven vertebrae are the cervical vertebrae, numbered 1 through 7. Each vertebra serves a function related to issues from the throat upwards, affecting the head and some aspects of the arms and shoulders. If a nerve in these areas is severed, the brain loses its ability to transmit messages, whether words, thoughts, or healing messages intended for the physical body.

If the cervical area has a physical blockage, we may get headaches, stuffiness, high blood pressure, heart conditions, or numbness in our fingers and hands. Spiritually, the same thing would apply if there were a blockage in receiving the fullness of Christ's mind because of our limitations with our filtering of God’s love for ourselves and others.

This is where we must venture into another realm of awakening to the Holy Spirit. Most of the theology taught by the body of Christ stems from a masculine understanding, which often emphasizes strength, leadership, and action. Little has been preached about how the body of Christ can embody the bride of Christ, feminine in nature, when receiving revelation and knowledge from the Holy Spirit. The 'feminine in nature' refers to receptivity, nurturing, and intuition. The Word must be embraced in a position of intimacy for it to become flesh (John 1:14).

We must mature in wisdom and grace as Jesus did, with a greater calling while we are in our natural bodies on earth to perform more significant works in unveiling the Kingdom of God. The best that a masculine interpretation of humanity can offer is salvation, with followers of Jesus and disciples of Jesus as brothers in Christ. Until a male leader can create space for the feminine aspect within themselves to awaken, they will struggle in their relationship with Jesus Christ as their husband and the lover of their soul, allowing their “womb-man” to be impregnated with the seed of Christ Jesus. Remember, the coming of the Lord signifies a marriage to the Lamb of God. Without experiencing intimacy with Jesus Christ as a bride of Christ, the WOMAN–WIFE of Christ cannot carry the baby, the revelation knowledge to full term for manifestation.

“Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:2).

The first seven vertebrae represent the beginning of the body of Christ, as the feminine receives the mind of Christ, which is possible when we recognize that we are one in Spirit and Truth. If my mind is challenged by the nature of Christ and the old nature I had before I was united with Him, there will be a blockage of the anointing of the Holy Spirit within my spirit, soul, and body.

In addition to being taught how to be the bride of Christ – pure, virgin, and perfect in His image, preparing herself for her husband (Revelation 21:2), we are also challenged by theologians who “cherry-pick” Scriptures, making the Bible say what separates and divides the body of Christ instead of fostering unity to reconcile as one body with many members. “For as we have many members in one body, and all members do not have the same office: so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every member is one of another” (Romans 12:4-5). “Now there are many members, yet one body " (I Corinthians 12:20). As I am trained in preparing LOVE with Holy intimacy with Jesus Christ, I see myself as Holy. For this to happen, I must also perceive others with the same eyes and heart that Jesus sees them.

A challenge in understanding the teachings of Jesus Christ is that individuals may not recognize that every word in the Bible can be relevant to them personally. When Scripture refers to a man, highlighting a masculine aspect, it also relates to our masculine side. Similarly, when it refers to a feminine aspect, such as the bride of Christ or a wife, it does not simply address the female gender of humanity; it also pertains to the feminine element present in men through their vertebrae. The first seven bones are feminine of receiving, encompassing both receiving and giving.

The body of Christ, comprised of both men and women, must come to the knowledge and understanding that there is only one husband, Jesus Christ, our LIGHT, LIFE, and LOVE, who is the giver of all life. What He provides nourishes the first seven bones, represented as a rainbow of colors, split LIGHT energy manifested from the mind of Christ to our spine. If we analyze this, the first vertebra begins with the mercy seat, then moves into rulership, followed by a giver, an exhorter, a teacher, a servant, and finally, a prophet's heart. “For as we have many members in one body, and all members do not have the same office, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every member is one of another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teaches, on teaching; or he that exhorts, on exhortation: he that gives, let him do it with simplicity; he that rules, with diligence; he that shows mercy, with cheerfulness. Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good” (Romans 4-9).

Each vertebra can be associated with a specific color of the rainbow: violet, indigo, dark blue, light blue, green, yellow, orange, and red. These seven colors represent light, but light infused with the word- the watering of the word that now penetrates your vertebrae. Once we receive that, it moves into the thoracic region, with twelve thoracic bones.

The first seven bones of the thoracic region are reversed because they embody the masculine element given to your body. They reflect the masculine aspect of what you offer based on what you received from Christ. How are you extending it outward to the world? Thus, we conclude with the prophetic wisdom from Christ with C-7 and begin with the prophetic wisdom to offer to your spirit, soul, and body with T-1. We start by reaching out and extending a prophetic word based on what has been received with the mind of Christ. This is akin to giving fruit. It begins with the blessings of Christ to our arms, chest, fingers, and hands.

Then it proceeds to T-2, which serves our esophagus and larynx. T-3 ministers to your heart and trachea. What is your heart saying as the mind of Christ offers wisdom, ministering, and teaching? T-4 addresses the lungs. What is the air you breathe and the words you say? Do they exhort the body, your own, and the corporate body of Christ?

Each of the first seven thoracic vertebrae corresponds to a masculine aspect of what you received from Christ, but you are now integrating it into your body in a reversed manner. At T-7, we bless our gallbladder, kidneys, liver, small intestine, and diaphragm with the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

It was previously believed that a glorified body is received upon death and upon entering heaven. We are setting boundaries that God did not establish for His glory to shine through us. No, we reach out and begin taking and sending out in a spirit of giving, not only to this body but also to the outwardness of our bodies. That is where we begin to explore the five elements: time, land, community, your birthright, and your office.

Time is everything that exists under the sun. Ecclesiastes three states: "To everything, there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven." How do you become oriented with what time is affecting your thoracic area? The thoracic eight refers to your stomach and appendix. This represents trust and openness, yet simultaneously, mistrust and defensiveness. Have you ever felt like you could not eat anything or were about to throw up because of what was happening in time that affected the land connected to T-9 (pancreas and adrenals), and your community stirred by T-10, your spleen?

T-11 refers to your small intestine, colon, and uterus- all areas related to gentleness and tranquility. Symptoms such as ulcers, gastritis, and kidney issues manifest in the body. How are you impacting your community? How do you express your birthright through your voice? And how do you fulfill the role you are meant to hold for the kingdom? All of this is about giving and receiving.

The dynamics shift again when focusing on the lumbar area, L1 through L5. My lumbar region reflects what I carry; what am I bearing in my role? Am I feeling burdened? What is my birthright, community, land, and time? This feminine place in our body begins with the reproductive organs receiving the WORD in the womb-man, the large intestine, and the thighs. Then, to the sacral vertebrae, where we begin to project outward through the masculine reproductive organs, into our buttocks, bladder, legs, knees, feet, and ankles, your time, land, community, and birthright are sent out each time. Is it the mind of Christ or my thoughts sent to the world?

“Ye are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden (Matthew 5:14).

We are sending out from a position of masculinity. However, when you receive the nurturing you need- the mothering from the mind of Christ to refill your cup - this reflects an aspect of the masculine and feminine dynamic.

Are you seated in heavenly places? Scripture tells us that Jesus Christ is at the Father's right hand, but aren't we seated there, too? “And hath raised us together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:6). Our spirit, soul, and body must be harmoniously aligned. So, are we seated in heavenly places?

This creates a conflict because theology and religion state that your physical body is on earth, and you are part of the world until death. But Jesus said, “You are the light of the world.” He said this before He went to the cross – before the people knew about the resurrection, grace, or saying a sinner’s prayer.

Our conversations and studies go back and forth between God's final act, when Jesus went to the cross and the grave, and His resurrection, where He completed His work. What we are not fully realizing, though, is the resurrection of Christ within us today. The more we discuss, understand, and explore the areas where people get stuck, the clearer it becomes why we struggle with healing. Much of it stems from our soul and emotional well-being, as we are not fully surrendered to Christ in these areas.

If you are under stress, it will be carried in your heart area. If you are dealing with grief, you are likely to hold it in your lungs. You do not need to have COPD or lung issues, nor do you have to be around smokers. Even a runner can carry grief; the effects may start showing up in the T-2 to T-4 region of vertebral alignment. Often, people end up with lung cancer despite never having smoked a day in their lives and not being around anyone who smoked. But what was their emotional state? Were they frequently in a grieving or negative frame of mind?

The body responds at both the acute and chronic levels. If you struggle with anger issues, that is a mental health concern. Addressing underlying anger is essential for any effective gun control measures. Anger can be associated with the liver and stomach. What's churning in your stomach? What toxins are present in your liver? It is not just about detoxifying the liver; you also need to release the anger pertaining to the soul.

What about worrying? I hear that one all the time. “Oh, I'm just so worried about such and such,” or “Oh, I am so worried about what they will do this and that. I am so worried about the…” I mean, the news is full of it. It feeds on that and tries to constantly plant little seeds to stir up your worries and emotional energy. This affects your stomach, pancreas, spleen, adrenal glands, kidneys, bladder, and small intestines. All that area of the physical body deals with fear from our soul instead of with the mind of Christ.

Worry is very real, even to the point of death. All negative emotions stored up within us will affect our physical bodies. We can tell what is going on within a person by their words. Jesus said to the Pharisees, “O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks” (Matthew 12:34).

“May the speech from my mouth and the thoughts in my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer” (Psalms 19:14 EHV).

“And all bare him witness and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son? And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country. And he said, Verily I say unto you, no prophet is accepted in his own country” (Luke 4:22-24).
