Culture Change Begins in the Heart

Culture Change Begins in the Heart

America, we are in a position of choosing leadership to make wise decisions that will affect our lives and those of future generations. The atmosphere over our land is a response to spiritual influence whether it is good or bad. Once the atmosphere is affected over a period it affects the climate. If that climate is prolonged, then it becomes a pattern of thinking and possible stronghold. The climate becomes a culture, a behavior, or a way of living. Our Heavenly Father has called us to break the cultures, climates, and atmospheres that we have created over America by seeking first His Kingdom (Matt. 6:33).

Culture Change Begins in the Heart

America, we are in a position of choosing leadership to make wise decisions that will affect our lives and those of future generations. Over two-thousand years ago the government of this world was placed upon the shoulders of Jesus Christ by our Heavenly Father (Isaiah 9:6) who loved us so much that He gave His life for us (John 3:16). Do the leaders of our community in politics, business, education, and religions have this heart in the position they are serving in? Would they still be interested in the causes they seem passionate about if their salaries, titles, power, and positions were removed? Do you think they would still even want the position if they had to provide their own funding while serving as the founding fathers did who wrote our constitution? What about the CEO's of corporations, or leaders in full time ministry?

Jesus Christ died on the cross to set all men free receiving no money, no title, no power, or position while innocently hanging on a cross for a cause that He was willing to give His life for. Do we have any leaders ready to step up to the plate? How can we expect our local, state, and national leadership to bring our country into a victory battle over economics, racialism, religion, immigration, majority, minority, rich and poor when the decisions they make for others they would not personally live by?

Christians are notorious to quote 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." However, in quoting this verse to justify a means they tend to skip over the beginning that says, "My people called by my name." Do we really know who our Heavenly Father is that we can do the Father's business as Jesus did (John 17)?

True Godly leadership must come as personified wisdom of God never to be separated from the Father's heart. It must be experienced as a woman experiences giving birth to a baby, not just intellectual knowledge. Personified wisdom of God is ALWAYS a positive manifestation leading to reverence for the Lord (Job 28:28). Those that teach God's word from a position of terror and destruction will not know true wisdom (James 3:13-18). They will not be leading from a position of knowing the Father's heart as Jesus Christ set an example to be followed (Proverbs 14:6-7, John 17). It is the Lord who gives true wisdom, and out of His mouth knowledge and understanding is released (Proverbs 2:6).

Let us not forget the law of our Heavenly Father, America, who knew each of us before we were conceived in our mother's womb (Jeremiah 1:5). Let us trust in our Heavenly Father with all our heart depending not on our intellect and understanding of the circumstances our lives are in. If we will acknowledge Him in ALL our situations seeking first the Kingdom of God founded in righteousness, peace, and joy IN the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:7), and not our circumstances, then He will direct our paths into victory overcoming every situation in peace (Proverbs 3:6). This is a path of a Father's correction in love, not wrath that will bring happiness, health, riches, honor, and life (Proverbs 3).

So, America, let us not seek the wisdom of people simply because they have degrees, money, or prestige within the community. Our Heavenly Father says their wisdom is foolish bringing it to nothing (1 Corinthians 1:19-20). As sons of God, children of the Most High God (Psalm 82:6) we have a responsibility to ask ourselves who do we have in leadership functioning in the Father's wisdom blameless and harmless, without rebuke, amid a crooked and perverse nation, among whom they shine as lights in the world (Phil. 2:15)? Are they willing to make decisions for our community without any personal gain, but only with the wisdom of our Heavenly Father manifesting the heart of Jesus Christ? The wisdom of the Lord is pleasant, and all her paths are peace (Proverbs 3:17).

The atmosphere over our land is a response to spiritual influence whether it is good or bad. Once the atmosphere is affected over a period of time it affects the climate. 6:33), letting every breath sing praises to Him (Psalms 150:6) as we count it all joy in the midst of our trials and tribulations (James 1:2). It only takes one person to change the atmosphere which will change the climate and the culture. God will use the trials and conditions of our life to reveal and introduce Himself for the purpose of our life and the circumstance of it.

Today we have many in leadership that declare that they are Christians and can quote the Scriptures to justify their means, but their heart still has a piece of "what's in it for them." True, Godly leadership must come from the Father's heart to bring true change. It is the truth that our leaders know, have personally experienced God's Divine intervention, that will set us free (John 8:32). We will only hear true and right words from their mouth; not one syllable will be twisted or skewed. All the words of their mouth will be righteous (upright and in right standing with God); there will not be anything contrary to truth or crooked in them (Proverbs 8:6-7) causing a double-mind (James 1:8).

Will the true leaders that seek the Father's heart in leadership please step forward! Where are our leaders in politics, businesses, religions, education, and community organizations that are seeking God as King Solomon who prayed, "Now, O Lord my God, You have made Your servant king instead of David my father, and I am but a lad [in wisdom and experience]; I know not how to go out (begin) or come in (finish)" (1 King 3:7)?

Today, we have someone more and greater than Solomon (Matt. 12:42). Christ within and among you (Col. 1:27) is the hope and glory for our community, state, and nation to set the captive free. Whom the Son of God sets free is true freedom, liberty, and justify for all (John 8:36).

"How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good tidings, who publishes peace, who brings good tidings of good, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, Your God reigns" (Isaiah 57:2).
